About Coimbra
The city of Coimbra holds a special place in the hearts of all the Portuguese, and, we are sure, many of you, the participants of this Conference. Rich in its history it is said to be the oldest seat of learning in Portugal with a University founded in 1290. This makes it one of the oldest in the world.
